a1. What kind of battery does Antec Vela have?

Lithium Ion, 36 Volt 10.5 Ah. This kind of battery is very modern and advanced. It only weighs 3.0 kg. go up

a2. Do I have to wait until the battery is empty so I can charge the battery?

No, that is not necessary. After you have  cycled 10 km for instance, then you can charge your battery to full. We suggest you to check the battery status regularly on the display. go up

a3. How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

For an empty battery, that takes normally 4 - 6 hours. go up

a4. Can I charge the battery for a short moment?

a5. Does the battery need to be charged immediately when it becomes empty?

Yes, especially when you plan to not use it for a while.  If the battery stays empty for a long time, then it will become not chargeable. Therefore, if you do not use your bike in the winter months, then it is suggested to charge your battery once every three months. Always switch off the system at the cockpit and  do not take the battery out of the battery pack.go up

a6. How long is the battery life?

That depends on two factors:

Under correct use of lithium ion battery, it can be charged 300 to 500 times. Then the battery capacity has 80% of the new battery. go up

For the pedal assisted electric bike, like Antec VELA, it is classified as bicycle. go up

Yes, but it is not compulsory.

As hard as you want. When the speed reaches 25 km/h, the system stops giving support. go up

A brushless 3-phase hub motor

e2. Why is the motor in front wheel?

The first impression of the motor in front is heavy, but it is chosen intentionally for the bicycle behavior. You are lead ahead by the front wheel motor instead of pushed by the rear wheel, so the bicycle is stabler and nicer. Just like the cars having front wheel driving which gives more traction on the road. go up

f1. Do I need to install the bicycle computer?

No, it is installed with the right wheel size setting (28” , diameter 2220 mm) and also the right time.  go up
